Marcus Charlemagne Appointed Manager for New Washington Trust Branch Opening in North Providence, RI

North Providence, RI – The Washington Trust Company announced that Marcus Charlemagne, of Smithfield, Rhode Island, has been appointed as assistant vice president and branch manager for the new Washington Trust branch set to open in January 2019 at 1588 Mineral Spring Avenue in North Providence, Rhode Island. Upon the opening of the North Providence location, Washington Trust will have a total of 22 branches throughout Rhode Island as well as one in Mystic, Connecticut.
Marcus has more than 18 years of banking experience. He joined Washington Trust in 2015 as assistant vice president and manager of the Bank’s branch in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Before joining Washington Trust, Marcus held positions as branch manager, assistant branch manager and senior business banker for various banks throughout northern Rhode Island. He holds an A.S. in accounting and finance from the New England College of Business. In his new role he is responsible for managing the daily operations of the branch, growing the bank’s deposit base and maintaining Washington Trust’s active role in the North Providence community.
